Job Duties:

Job Details:
The Nuclear Medicine technologist will be responsible for performing all Nuclear Medicine procedures while utilizing patient safety protocols. The technologist will perform optimal Nuclear Medicine scans in a knowledgeable and professional manner consistent with hospital and departmental standards.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Must have satisfactorily completed an accredited Radiology program and be registered with the ARRT. Must have graduated from a certified Nuclear Medicine program and be registered or registry eligible in Nuclear Medicine.

Insurance Specialist
The Insurance Specialists carry many different responsibilities, which include reviewing patient records using medical coding procedures. They examine the claims and verify insurance eligibility, as well as record any medical charges and other payments or adjustments. This person is also responsible for detecting any coding errors or performing any modifications needed.

Job Summary

Work on assigned units in a healthcare facility and provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assemble, deliver and pick-up their meal trays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Description
The Dispatcher answers all 911 and non-emergency calls received in dispatch and appropriately dispatches and provides directions to all ambulance calls. Qualifications
Dispatch experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to obtain APCO and EMD certifications within 6 months of hire. Must maintain CPR certification. Description
The Billing Specialist performs patient billing and files claims to insurance companies for reimbursement, accepts and posts payments to accounts, and receives walk-in customers. The Billing Specialist also reviews claims, files / re-files appeal as necessary and pulls records for medical review.

Job Description
Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures: Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of physician. Calibrates equipment. Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film. Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors. Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.

1. Completes all exams timely in PACS

2. Properly performs procedure for making patient CD’s.

3. Verify that written physician order matches order in PACS.

4. Verifies all images are in PACS ,& Scans any required documents, and Adds additional study information in notes section as needed.

To perform medical laboratory procedures and protocols as specified in policy and procedure manuals conforming to CAP, TJC, CLIA, and other regulatory guidelines under the direction of the Medical Director of the Laboratory.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

1. Education: Associates degree from an accredited school of Medical Technology -or-

2. Successfully meets the requirements for “Testing Personnel” as specified by CLIA 88 guidelines as amended in 1992 – and –

3. Successfully achieved a MLT or equilivant certification by ASCP, AMT or other nationally recognized certifying agency within one year of employment.

4. MLT’s with less than two years’ experience must have all results released reviewed by a Med Tech meeting CLIA 88 General Supervisor criteria within 24 hours.

5. A MLT hired prior to 2009 meeting CLIA 88 Testing Personnel requirements, but not passing their certification exam, can continue working as a MLT / MT Provisional but isn’t allowed to perform diagnostic Blood Bank procedures.

Experience:

Must meet all requirements for “Testing Personnel” as specified by CLIA ’88.

This position requires continuous auditory and visual attention to PBX and Nurse Call. The primary responsibility of the communications representative is to answer, screen and process all nurse call and PBX calls from patients, staff and the general public and dispatch, page or transfer in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner to the appropriate party or department. This position also provides administrative support for the marketing department as dictated by ongoing marketing communication plans and internal / departmental responsibilities.
