    Responsibilities:

    Import, manipulate, and process 3D models
    Machine steel with close attention to health and safety requirements
    Use tools and machinery provided; program, setup and operate the CNC machine using Powermill and Lemoine software
    Machine mold plates, components, cores, and cavities
    Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments/probe to ensure first time quality
    Complete checklists and report deviations from specified tolerances
    Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs
    Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts, as needed
    Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
    Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.
    Participate in required meetings and training, as requested


    Qualifications:

    Five (5) years of related experience operating CNC
    Five (5) years experience programming CNC machines (Lemoine and Powermill software is preferred)
    Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
    Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required

    Responsibilities:

    Demonstrates proficiency in all Apprentice-related duties and responsibilities.
    Intermediate operation of Hurco, including changing worn tooling, handling laser tooling, indicating and picking up the 90-degree chuck, and performing checks.
    Perform basic handwork on electrodes.
    Conduct intermediate setup and teardown, demonstrating the ability to set up and pick up complicated parts, choose correct features for pickup, and execute electrode touches for reference.
    Execute 2D vector burning in X, Y, and Z directions.
    Perform 3D vector burning.
    Modify and handwork electrodes as necessary in burn processes.
    Continuously modify settings to maximize efficiency based on burn conditions, including thin ribs, pockets, weld, arcing, and blind features during machining processes.
    Select the appropriate orbit cycle for each job.
    Demonstrate a high-level understanding of blend principles, including choosing the correct shift amounts, being proactive with shifts, and initiating shifts before the end of the cycle to expedite burn time.
    Perform basic surfacing of electrodes.
    Efficiently program electrodes, showing an understanding of NC elements without templates and utilizing templates when necessary.

    Join Polaris Huntsville as a Welder and enjoy a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment, welding full frames for side-by-side utility vehicles and Polaris’s Slingshot.


    Welders will perform the MiG welding process on mild steel on assembly line or work cell as required to meet all quality standards and specifications. Welders must be able to perform these functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Our Weld environment is a 24/7 operation. Welders may be asked to work 6-7 days per week.


    Experience welding is required. If no prior experience, but interested in a welding career, join our team as a Moto (Robotic Weld) Operator and learn to weld with Polaris!


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform Weld Tasks to Standards

    Perform Arc and Mig welding on steel materials for RANGER or Slingshot production.

    Position Description:
    Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the CDL Flatbed/Roll-Off Driver is primarily responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the plant to the customer's location, ensuring product is accurately delivered to the customer timely and damage-free. As the face of our company, this position is always expected to demonstrate our company values and mission statement. The CDL Driver is also responsible for maintaining and operating company assets in accordance with company policy and government regulations. Demonstrating a strong drive to provide exceptional customer service, the CDL Driver is required to develop a working relationship with the customer that includes open communication of expected delivery times and problem resolution.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    - Promote and drive safety-first culture, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors and visitors.
    - Know and follow safety and emergency procedures as needed.
    - Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as in compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
    - Maintain and provide records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver's logs, fuel purchases, mileage and all other records required by the company.
    - Ensure that all shipping documentation (manifest, bill of lading, shipping order, freight bill, etc.) required to move with shipment is readily available for inspection; and that documentation is provided with deliveries.
    - Meet and retain all Federal and State requirements for certification and licensing including current FMCSA medical certification, meeting the requirements set forth by Section 391.41.
    - Represent the company and transportation industry professionally in demonstrated responsible driving.
    - Apply skill and knowledge of commercial driving in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or tight delivery locations.
    - Meet company requirements as outlined in the driver safety handbook.
    - Inspect shipping documentation and determine the nature of the load.
    - Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit written/electronic report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip.
    - Hook and unhook trailers from the tractor itself, including cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear on semi-trailers.
    - Unload trailer with or without mechanical freight-handling equipment.
    - Cover/uncover and secure/remove securing devices from freight.
    - Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of accessory equipment used in covering and securing freight. Perform infrequent manual lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying for freight.
    - Safely and properly unload freight ensuring minimal risk of danger to self/others and damage to product.
    - Maintain clean appearance of truck; inside the cab at all times and outside when conditions permit.
    - Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather/traffic conditions, emergencies or in the event of irregularities relating to pick up or delivery of cargo.
    - Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment as soon as possible according to company policy/procedure.
    - Must be able to travel within the southeastern United States.
    - Complete any and all other tasks assigned by management for which the employee is qualified and physically able to perform, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

    Requirements/Skills:
    Required Attributes -
    - Class A commercial driver license and current FMCSA medical certification
    - 2-5 years commercial flatbed vehicle driving experience in the transportation of freight
    - Effective time management, verbal/written communication and basic mathematical skills
    - Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance (fueling and checking fluid levels) and maintain vehicle safety
    Preferred Attributes-
    - Experience delivering building materials (roofing, trusses, etc.)
    - Ability to operate a truck mounted forklift

    Physical Requirements:
    - Sitting, walking and/or standing for long periods of time
    - Walking and/or working on various surfaces, sometimes slippery/wet surfaces
    - Routine lifting up to 75 lbs (occasional lifting of 80 and up to 100 lbs)
