POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of Laboratory Supervisor, performs all phlebotomy procedure to include blood cultures and bleeding time tests. May perform various other procedures such as typing, filing, answering the telephone, cleaning counters/equipment/etc., and may be utilized as a backup histology technician is required.

EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Prefer a student of a Medical Laboratory Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant program. Will consider a student/graduate of a two year degree in any related science. Prior experience in phlebotomy procedures is desirable but not necessary.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

The Dispatcher answers all 911 and non-emergency calls received in dispatch and appropriately dispatches and provides directions to all ambulance calls. The Dispatcher is responsible for maintaining all paperwork and for keeping records as required. Must always maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor.

Qualifications
Dispatch experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to obtain APCO and EMD certifications within 6 months of hire. Must maintain CPR certification. Must have excellent customer service skills and always maintain professional conduct. Must have basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Job Summary:

The Paramedic provides advanced emergency medical care and transport of critically ill and injured patients. The Paramedic directs and controls patient care on the scene and delegates responsibilities, as necessary. The Paramedic must observe all traffic ordinances and regulations concerning the emergency vehicle operation. Description
The Billing Specialist performs patient billing and files claims to insurance companies for reimbursement, accepts and posts payments to accounts, and receives walk-in customers. The Billing Specialist also reviews claims, files / re-files appeal as necessary and pulls records for medical review.


Qualifications
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Experience working with ambulance coding required. Certification by the National Academy of Ambulance Coding strongly preferred.
· Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills required. Must be familiar with basic human anatomy.

Job Details:
The Nuclear Medicine technologist will be responsible for performing all Nuclear Medicine procedures while utilizing patient safety protocols. The technologist will perform optimal Nuclear Medicine scans in a knowledgeable and professional manner consistent with hospital and departmental standards.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Must have satisfactorily completed an accredited Radiology program and be registered with the ARRT. Must have graduated from a certified Nuclear Medicine program and be registered or registry eligible in Nuclear Medicine.

Job Summary:
_ Follows established pediatric scanning protocols and documents required information.
- Documents shielding on all 13 and younger patients
- Active knowledge of all CT and Radiographic procedures, performing proficiently as ordered by physician.
- Properly positions and instructs patient for exam.

Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures: Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of physician. Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film. 13. Performs repeat tests when results are questionable or grossly abnormal and consults with supervisor or pathologist regarding difficult analyses or abnormal findings. Investigates and/or repeats all “panic” and delta values

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

1. Education: Associates degree from an accredited school of Medical Technology -or-

2. Successfully meets the requirements for “Testing Personnel” as specified by CLIA 88 guidelines as amended in 1992 – and –

3. Successfully achieved a MLT or equilivant certification by ASCP, AMT or other nationally recognized certifying agency within one year of employment.

4. MLT’s with less than two years’ experience must have all results released reviewed by a Med Tech meeting CLIA 88 General Supervisor criteria within 24 hours.

5. A MLT hired prior to 2009 meeting CLIA 88 Testing Personnel requirements, but not passing their certification exam, can continue working as a MLT / MT Provisional but isn’t allowed to perform diagnostic Blood Bank procedures.

Experience:

Must meet all requirements for “Testing Personnel” as specified by CLIA ’88.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Manage assigned blood drive accounts
- Work to establish new accounts as directed by management
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual collection goals
- Schedule blood drives and determine accurate projections for each drive
- Recruit on-site as necessary by actively encouraging donations from potential donors in order to
meet daily projections
- Prepare and deliver promotional materials while coordinating with Corporate Marketing &

- Develop rapport with blood drive chairperson of assigned donor group

- Perform phlebotomies and collect blood from donors according to LifeSouth Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP)
- Collect blood using automated instruments (once trained)
- Register donors for blood collection in the LifeSouth computer system (IBBIS)
- Determine donor eligibility based on the results of the donor interview and physical process
- Accurately identify donors in every step of the donation process
- Assist in recruitment, tele-recruitment and rescheduling of donors
- Convert donors to automated technology (apheresis) when appropriate
- Provide the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
